Obituary of Sally Chadderton Davies
Sally Chadderton Heard Davies passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered as a loving wife, incredible mother and dedicated grandmother.
Sally was born on May 22, 1951 in Tulsa. In 1955, her family moved to University Park in the Dallas area, where she grew up alongside her two siblings.
She attended the University of Oklahoma, where she met Buck, who would become her husband of almost 50 years. She was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority, where she made lifelong friends. She graduated in 1973 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising Design. Sally and Buck were married in 1975 and moved to Tulsa, where they raised their two children, Frank and Anna. Sally later attended Oklahoma State University and received her masters in interior design in 1983.
Sally was a talented interior designer, whose style was unmatched and who made everything she touched more beautiful. In addition to her eye for interiors, she dedicated her many talents to historic preservation efforts in the Tulsa area. She loved to travel, whether to the beach in South Padre with family or abroad with her husband. She and Buck threw the most wonderful parties and loved hosting family and friends at their home. She found joy in attending services and being an archivist at Trinity Episcopal Church. She was an avid lover of animals in need of rescue and dedicated her heart to her many pets. Her family and friends remained dedicated to her throughout the many chapters of her life.
Sally is preceded in death by her mother, JoAnn Hayden Heard, and her father, Bobby Wayne Heard. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Frank Lubbock “Buck” Davies III, their children, Frank Lubbock Davies IV and Anna Chadderton Davies Pasha (Jabraan), her siblings Robert Heard (Linda) and Ann Heard-Sakhaee (Khashayar), her cousin Candice Graham (Vaughn), and her three grandchildren, Adelaide Monroe Davies, Aspen Jane Davies and Arie Ellis Pasha.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26 at Trinity Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Trinity Episcopal Church, 501 S. Cincinnati Ave, Tulsa, OK, 74103.
