Obituary of Damon Cariker

Damon was born in Hoyt, Oklahoma to Champ Clark and Joy Myree Cariker. He briefly attended Stigler High School before moving to West Texas to work in the oil fields. He served two years in the United States Army in Fort Chaffee, Arkansas. Damon married Joyce Mackey in 1954 and returned to Oklahoma where he became an electrician and started his own business, Southeast Electric. After retirement, he enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his friends and family. Damon and Joyce attended West Tulsa Free Will Baptist Church where Damon served as a Deacon and teacher for more than 50 years.
Damon is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Nina Denise, brother Danny Mac, and a son, Randall Damon. He is survived by his wife, Joyce, daughter, Karen, son, Kevin and his wife Teri, brothers, Dwain, Connie, Larry, Albert, David, Dennis, and Marty Cariker and sisters, Melba White, Jo Ann Schooley, Lana Wilson, Joyce Barbee, Ruth Shaw and Dana Brown, four grandchildren, one great-grandson and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
