Those we love remain with us
for love itself lives on
Cherished memories never fade
because one loved is gone
Those we love can never be
more than a thought apart
For as long as there is a memory
they live on in our heart.

I was a carpenter in Tulsa for a number of years and had the honor of working with Mr. Faudree on a couple of projects.
I was shocked and saddened to learn of his passing and would like to offer my condolences to his family.
I did not know him well but immediately realized his talent. I truly enjoyed his sense of humor. Even though I was a mere laborer carrying out his vision, he spoke to me with respect and without airs.
I have described to others and told stories about my experiences with Mr. Faudree many times since working with him. I will always remember him fondly.

To the family of Charles Faudree:
I am heartbroken beyond measure. Just yesterday, I learned of Charles' passing. I gasped aloud, and then I cried. And the tears continue today...as I write this message.
Most unfortunately, I did not personally know Charles, but he touched my life immensely through his work. Through his books and the many magazine articles I read regarding his activities and achievements, I gained hours and hours of tremendous pleasure. To read one of his books was to immerse yourself into a dream world of unique, timeless beauty and heavenly peace. What a wonderful escape from the worries of life!
A few years ago I bought a house just because I thought it had great French Country potential, eager to decorate it like Charles would. I, of course, could not come close to replicating his phenomenal style, but I had great fun trying...and as a result, love my surroundings. The house makes me happy. Thank you, dear teacher!
I am just sick that I never met Charles. What a Bucket List moment that would have been. I will love him and his work forever.
With warmest regards,
Jo Rainbolt-Gunter

I came late to the world of Charles Faudree. I never met him, but through his books and beautiful design, I feel I should have known him and that we might have been friends.
How amazing that you are still receiving condolences almost two years after his death. What a tribute to him as an individual and to his influence on those who love beauty. And yes, dogs too.
Blessings to you on his loss.

Dear Family and Friends,
Although I knew Charles Faudree, he did not know me. I am an avid fan, designer and follower of his work. I purchased several of his books. I look at them, over and over, and dream and create. I always said if I won the lottery, I would ask him to create a home with and for me. I nick named him the Lovely Francophile. I have used his style in my home and for clients. I was so sad when I heard the news today. He will be missed by many, but cherished for years to come. His books validated all the things I loved.
I believe he has reached Heaven and is decorating there. Several of my decorating friends have passed and I hope they are all together, creating beauty and waiting for me to join them in their new Décor Cloud!
With love and fond memories,
Cindy Thrana

WOW !!! The world has lost such an incredible man and incredible humanitarian. I was so fortunate to have known this great man and was fortunate enough to have him tell me I was old school. I will forever cherish what I learned from such an incredible designer and was so fortunate to have been a rep who called on him.

Francie and Dale, my thoughts and prayers are with you both. Charles was always so much fun. We had a lot of great growing up days together. He,Nell, and I were close together in age. They were 4 months younger than me. Always enjoyed reading articles about him and saying he was my Cousin. Will be thinking of you on Wednesday. Wished I could be there, but just got home. Again thoughts, prayers and love to you.

We have God to thank for Charles on earth, his spirit, his talent, and we would be selfish, to keep Charles, he is with his creator.

I remember Charles as loving cousin and a bit of a clown. My two best memories are when he and I played beauty shop and he cut my hair needless to say it wasn't my best haircut and our mothers were a little upset. Then I remember him making corsages for all of the women and us girls at a Faudree reunion at his home. His flair for design was showing even then. Altho we have lost touch as adults he had always been in my memories of a great childhood and he was a wonderful cousin. I will remember him at Mass and in my prayers Love you Charlie!
