Wallace, Luther W. "Willis", age 91, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 17, 2007. He was born on February 4, 1916 in Hammond, MO to James and Cora (Poplin) Wallace. Mr. Wallace served in the Army during WWII and received four Purple Heart Awards for wounds received in action. He was a steel worker and member of the Iron Workers Local Union #584. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maudie and a daughter, Judith Ross. He is survived by, 4 daughters, Sherry Chance, Karen Staten, Frances Carneal and Wilma Hughes and a son, James E. Wallace and his wife, Jennifer; 17 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Service 4:00 P.M. Friday Ninde Woodland Chapel.
