Mrs. Mae Evelyn Canady age 89, longtime resident of Sand Springs and Tulsa died Sunday at her home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Roy Betz, pastor of Lake United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be on the family plot in the Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her name for those who wish to contribute may do so to the VistCare Hospice, 3810 S. 103rd E. Ave., Tulsa, Oklahoma 74146. Mrs. Canady was born on March 26, 1918 in Sand Springs to James Madison and Myrtle Mae Hiers Tyson. She was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Canady on August 7, 1993. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Rhonda Lee Canady and a son Marvin Canady, Jr. Survivors include one daughter Mary Wofford of Tulsa, two sons Tommy Canady of Seattle, Washnigton and Ronald Canady of Tulsa, 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
