Obituary of Athanasios Contis

Athanasios "Art" Contis, 77, died on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at the Leisure Village Health Care Center in Tulsa, OK. Art was born February 18, 1930 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the son of Peter and Helen (Stamos) Contis. He married Calliope Aggelou on December 17, 1953 in Greece. He worked for a number of years as a Sales Representative for B.P. Amoco where he retired. He and his wife Calliope moved to Tulsa in 1979. He is survived by his wife, Calliope of the home; his brother: Dr. George Contis of Washington, DC; his godsons: Michael Apostolides, Steven Apostolides and his wife Lisa, Nicholas Aldi and his wife Cindy all of Tulsa. He was preceded in death by his sister, Artemis Contis Agras Mano on December 7, 2003. The Trisagion prayers will be said on Tuesday, June 12th. Funeral service will be 10:30 Wednesday, June 13th. Both services will be at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1222 S.
