Obituary of Wilbur Lorenz

Wilbur J. Lorenz, 86, passed away on August 1, 2007. He was born May 20, 1921 in Loyal, Oklahoma the son of Bill Lorenz and Amelia Wagner. He was preceded in death by two wonderful wives, Sue Lorenz and Jean Lorenz. He is survived by a brother, Don Lorenz and wife Carolyn of Irving, TX, a sister: Marjory Phelam of Oklahoma City; 3 sons: David Lorenz of New Mexico, Steve Lorenz of Oklahoma City and John Lorenz oand wife Debi of Barnsdall, OK; 3 step-children, Ron Robinson and wife Isa of California, Steve Robinson and wife Kathy of Broken Arrow and Linda Mieir and husband Bob of Broken Arrow; 5 Grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. He graduated from Oklahoma University in 1950 with a bachelors degree in engineering. He was a well known petroleum and consulting engineer for many years in Tulsa. His career in petroleum refinery and design was world wide including Arabia, Pakistan and the North Sea. He served three years in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday in the Ninde Woodland Chapel. 5757 S. Memorial. Memorials may be made to Sojourn Care Hospice.
