Obituary of Timothy Fox

Tim died on August 11, after a short but fierce battle with pancreatic cancer. Tim was born September 8, 1955 in Kinsley, Kansas, the fourth child of Tom and Mary Fox. Although Tim became a highly successful aviator and entrepreneur his heart never left his Kansas farm roots. Tim was a beloved son, husband, brother, father, and friend. Tim's brother, Thomas "Bodie" Fox predeceased him. Tim is survived by his wife, Maggie; his Mom and Dad, Mary and Tom; his precious daughters, Stacia, Brandi, Lila, and Harper; his grandson, Devin and his sisters, Ceil and Jill. Tim applied his Kansas farm-boy work ethic throughout his life. After graduating from Kinsley High in 1973 Tim obtained his A&P and commercial pilot's license through Spartan School of Aeronautics. He flew as a commercial and private pilot until founding Fox Cleaners in 1985; building it into one of the largest dry cleaners in the area. Tim returned to his love of airplanes in 1997, forming his aeronautics business Fox Flite, Inc. Tim loved trading planes, due in no small part to having a ready excuse to fly. Tim's love of all things mechanical meant he was always tinkering; be it plane, car, boat or farm implement. Most of all Tim was a devoted family man, loving things family and fun. He was always there when needed and was a source of inspiration to those around him. Tim lived his 51 years with a zest for life, a love for family, friends, and pets; and an unflagging belief in what was right. Tim will be forever loved and missed by all whose lives he touched. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday August 15, 2007 at Ninde Brookside Chapel.
