Obituary of Ruby Preaus

Ruby was born December 27, 1922 in Windom, KS to George Alfred and Lydia Lincoln (Noggle) Williams. She passed from this life Sunday, September 9, 2007 at the age of 84. Ruby worked with her family and retired as office manager for Preaus Landscape. She was a life long member of South Brooke Church of Christ (formerly, Brookside Church of Christ). She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Murnan Preaus; her sisters, Alberta Hood and Vinita Cogdill; her brothers, Gerald and George Williams. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Susan Genelle Preaus; her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles M., Jr. & Katherine Preaus, Paul Eugene & Jayme Preaus, Kenneth Bryan & Paula Preaus and William Franklin & Tammy Preaus. Ruby is also survived by her sisters, Opal Parks, Lu Walls and Virginia Crouse; her brother, Robert Williams; grandchildren, Charles M. Preaus, III, Gypsy Hinton, Byron Synar, Jordan, Chelsea, Hannah, Luke, Emily and Katelyn Preaus; her great grandchildren, Alec, Chloe, Micah, Michala, Mason, Gabriel, Chris and Blaise. She was loved dearly by numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and her brothers and sisters in Christ. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute in Ruby's memory to Hope Harbor Children's Home & Academy, P.O. Box 1047, Claremore, OK 74018-9915.
