Baumunk, Eleanor E."Ellie", 82, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2007. She was born on February 19, 1925 in a farm home in Allen County, Kansas. She was one of five girls and three boys born to Robert Porter Stewart and Anna Louise Kennedy. She graduated from Humboldt High School as senior class president, and then worked as a bookkeeper in a bank in Iola, Kansas. She married Don Baumunk in 1948 and then moved to Tulsa. She worked in a Tulsa bank until she began raising her family. They lived in Tulsa until moving to Chicago in 1974, to Denver in 1980, returning to Tulsa in 1987. Over the years, she was active in community affairs and volunteer activities such as Salvation Army Auxiliary, St. Francis Hospital, and hospitals in Chicago and Denver. She loved dancing, bowling, and playing golf and managed a hole in one twice. She was a faithful member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Ellie is survived by her husband Donald Baumunk, children Donna Cropper and husband Steve, Doug Baumunk and wife Nancy, Lori Fitzgerald and husband Bob, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and sisters Evelyn Stitzel, Helen Boyer, and Naomi Oliphant. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Ninde Woodland Funeral Home, 57th & Memorial. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at Asbury Methodist Church, Mason Chapel. Charitable contributions in Ellie's honor can be made to the American Heart Association, 2227 E.
