Hix, Hart, age 87, of Tulsa, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2007. Hart was born on September 9, 1920 in Wichita, KS to H. Guilford and Margaret (Hart) Hix. Hart graduated from Tulsa University in 1941 and served in the Army during WWII. He retired as a Systems Analyst from Shell Oil Company in 1971 after 30 years service. Hart then entered the homebuilding sector working for Lee & Miller, Inc. and later opening his own business, Hart Hix, Inc. a luxury homebuilding and design company, sometimes doing the building and installation himself. After retiring from homebuilding in 1985, Hart entered semi-retirement doing home remodeling and home repair. He was the "semi-resident" contractor and "hands-on" repairman, remodeler and re-furbisher of the Tulsa Lambda Chi house. Hart was a very active supporter of Tulsa University both in time and finances. In 2003 Hart received J. Paschal Twyman Award from TU. Hart and Dot were members of Asbury United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy "Dot", of the home; daughters, Marsha McGeehan, Patricia Barham and Carla Aldrich; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Memorial service will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday Ninde Brookside Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to TU's School of Nursing. Ninde Brookside Chapel 918-742-5556.
