Hillis Kennedy Dickey, 90, died on Sunday, September 30, 2007 surrounded by his family. Born June 10, 1917 in Newtown, Pennsylvania, he moved to Tulsa after serving as a bombadier in World War II. He was a pioneer in the coin laundry business and owned Dickey Supply Company in Tulsa for 34 years. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Dickey; his daughters: Jane Dickey Johnson and her husband Markham; Patty Dickey Elliott and her husband Patrick all of Tulsa; his grandchildren: Stephen Hutson of Washington, DC and Robin Gerwig and her husband Ed of Boston, MA; great-granddaughter, Catherine Dorothy Gerwig of Boston. The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 4th in the Ninde Brookside Chapel with the Rev. Connie Murray Ichord officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Hospice, 6600 S. Yale, Suite 350, Tulsa, OK 74136.
