Obituary of Tomme Rhea

Rhea, Tomme Heatley, 80, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 3, 2007. She was born on September 20, 1927 in Mangum, OK to Alvin "Red" and Edith (Dowdy) Heatley. Tomme graduated from the University of Oklahoma, where she met Bob Rhea and in 1949 she and Bob were married. She was a devoted mother and wife, Speech Therapist, avid reader and very helpful and involved in her son's school activities including being a Den Mother. She was an active member of the Oklahoma Society of Professional Engineers Auxiliary. She was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church and for several years was a Docent at Gilcrease Museum and did research into American Indian Tribal Customs, focusing on Oklahoma Tribes. Tomme is survived by her husband, Bob, of the home; a son, Richard H. "Rick" Rhea, of Amarillo, TX. Memorial service 2:00 P.M. Monday Ninde Brookside Chapel. The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to Street Cats, Inc., 5217 S. Sheridan, Tulsa, OK 74136. Ninde Brookside Chapel 918-742-5556.
