Knight, Ronnie Dale, 56, died Friday. Ronnie was born to his parents Andrew "Sam" and Mae Elizabeth (Evans) Knight, April 3, 1951 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He spent almost three decades with the Gatesway Foundation where he was involved in numerous projects with the New Leaf being his favorite. He loved working with the poinsettias that were created specifically to bring cheer to people's holidays. He also worked at the Embassy Suites in a janitorial capacity and embraced every opportunity given him with great enthusiasm. Released from Gatesway in 2000 he traveled a great deal with his sister Yvonne Chapman and has the pictures to prove it! He enjoyed activities with all of his family including church and music outings. Not until his ensuing sickness in 2006 did Ronnie slow down. Ronnie is predeceased by his parents; his brothers Stephen, Eugene, Roy, and Gary Knight; his sister Betty Lou. He is survived by his sisters; Yvonne Chapman and Joy Isham both of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Wanda Hastings of Owasso, Oklahoma; his brothers Bob and Paul Knight of Tulsa, Oklahoma. His infectious smile and huge heart will be missed by all. Graveside services are planned for 2:00 PM Tuesday at Dick Duck Cemetery in Catoosa, Oklahoma.
