James T. Honeycutt, 77, retired formean from Tulsa Grass and Sod Farm died Thursday at his residence in Tulsa.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday in the Ninde Brookside Chapel with Harry Adams, Chaplin of Freedom Hospice officiating.
Mr. Honeycutt was born on January 18, 1930 in Stilgler, Oklahoma to John and Ethel (Brazeal) Honeycutt. James was raised and attended shcool in Stigler. He moved to Tulsa in 1950 where he resided until his death. He was associated with Tulsa Grass and Sod Farm where he was foreman for almost 50 years until his retirement. James loved to hunt and fish and do yardwork.
Survivors include his wife Allie Ioma Honeycutt of the home, daughter Linda Arthur of Tulsa, sons, Larry Honeycutt of Tulsa and Marvin Honeycutt of Tulsa, 10 grandchildren and 8 great granchildren, brothers Roy Honeycutt of Skiatook, Bill Honeycutt of Bristow, and Florie Honeycutt of Bristow, sisters Loretta Kimball of Sand Springs, and Helen Cantrell of Stigler. He was preceded in death by sisters, Opal and Norma, brothers Gene and Kenneth.
