Maxine Francis passed away November 16, 2007 at Leisure Village Healthcare, Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was 85 years of age. Maxine was born September 4, 1922 in Schaberg, AR to Jesse Jewel Schaberg Francis and George Wilgus Francis. The Francis Family move from Schaberg, AR to Dodge , OK Community East of Grove. Maxine attended Grove High School and graduated from high school at Stilwell, OK. During WWII, Maxine worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone at Camp Crowder, Heosho, MO. She was also employed for many years in the lab of St. John's hospital, Tulsa, OK. Maxine was a born again Christian of the Pentecostal faith. She loved music and was an accomplished violinist and also played the guitar. One sister, Janelle Rose Francis Cypret, Tulsa, OK, survives. Other survivors include: four nephews: Michael L. Cypret, El Segundo, CA, George W. francis Owasso, OK, David Francis and Gary Max Francis, Golden City, MO, one niece: Joan C. Francis Pendleton of Grove, OK, one sister-in-law: Ella B. Francis, Grove, OK. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents: Jesse Jewel Schaberg Francis and George W. Francis. Six brothers: Hoyt Austin Francis, Lyle Hulen Francis, Ralph Dexter Francis, Afton Jennings Francis, Kerwin Kern Francis and her twin brother, Arby Max francis. One infant niece, Debra Lee Cypret. Maxine will be laid to rest beside hermother and father at Olympus Cemetery, near Grove, OK at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 26, 2007 with the Rev. Kenneth Cope officiating.
