Obituary of Grace Moyer

Grace Irene Moyer was born August 30, 1909 in Purcell, MO to Robert L. & Zilla VanLouie (Evans) Castleman and passed from this life January 21, 2012 at the age of 102. Irene moved here from Kansas in 1946. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliaryeven serving as President of the POST 308 Auxiliary. She later served as las chapeau of Carson Wilson 8/40. She was active in her church, Memorial Christian Church and served as a deaconess. Most of all she loved her family and they loved her. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Huber Moyer January 30, 1977; her sisters, Veva Kapple and Nora Jarman; and her brother, Vernie Castleman. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Hales; her grandchildren, Kathy Wright and her husband Wayne Wright and Karen Kazmi; her great grandchildren, Chris Hales, Erik Wright, Meera Kazmi and Anna Kazmi; and numerous nieces and nephews. Grace will lie in state 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and her funeral will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, both at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home.
