Obituary of Richard Robinett

Richard L "Dick" Robinett was born December 24, 1940 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He passed from this life to a better place on Friday, January 18, 2008 at the age of 67. He graduated from Tulsa Edison High School in 1960 and was active with his class reunions. Dick was a retired 18-wheel truck driver, hauling oilfield equipment and supplies from coast to coast including Canada and Alaska. His hobbies included photography, genealogy and spending time with his dog and best friendTippy. Dick joined his parents who preceded him in heaven: Leslie and Thelma Robinett. He is the tenth generation of descendents of Allen and Margaret Robinett, who emigrated from England to America in 1682 as first purchasers of land in Chester County, Pennsylvania from William Penn. He is survived by his brother, Tom Robinett (Hazel) of Tulsa; Aunt, Charlene Ware, Stillwater, OK; his cousins, Yonda Lee Carrow (Joe) of Huntington Beach, CA and their children Greg, Kim and Kristen; Cousin, Sue Swart (Charles), Pawnee, OK and their children, Stacey, Shawna and Shelly; cousin, Bill Ware; his nephew, Scott Robinett (Robin) of Tulsa and their son, Jacob; his nieces, Cindy Robinett (Charlene Adkins) of Tulsa and their daughter, Rebecca, and Kerri (Mike) Urban of Columbia, MO and their daughter, Grace. Dick was a kind and gentle person, always willing to help others. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
