Violet L. Evans was born October 28, 1926 in Wainwright, OK to James and Gladys (Doulgas) Lassiter. She passed from this life Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at the age of 81.
Violet retired from the Tulsa County Court Clerk's office as a records clerk. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover A."Bob" Evans in 1976. Violet is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wendell and Linda Evans of Sapulpa, OK; sisters, Joy Hensley of Tahlequah, OK, Marie Bellew and her husband, Wayne of Sheridan, AR and Carolyn Gower and her husband, Raymond of Moody, OK; brothers, Billy Lassiter of California and Vernon Lassiter of Checotah, OK; 3 grandchildren Amber Hennigan and her husband, Bryan of Oklahoma City, Allen Schlecht and Marcy McNair, both of Tulsa; 2 great granddaughters, Macey and Morgan Hennigan of Oklahoma City. Violet was greatly loved and will be missed by her family and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 2-4:00pm Sunday at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10:00am Monday, January 28, 2008 at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
