Obituary of Efstratios Pinos

Please share a memory of Efstratios to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Pinos, Efstratios K. "Steve", 84, beloved husband and precious father, fell asleep in the Lord on Tuesday, February 27, 2008. He was born on June 6, 1923 in Kollines, Tripolis, Greece, the son of Konstantinos and Demetra (Remenjoulos) Pinos. He immigrated to American for a better life and became a dedicated U.S. Citizen while remaining proud of his Greek heritage. He married Chrisafo Froungas in 1970 and they had two daughters together. He was the best husband and father and provided for his family his entire life. He was a barber, a job he enjoyed. He loved visiting with all of his customers at the barber shop and keeping up to date on all the news in the world. In a time when many people talk much, but really say very little, he was different. He often said little, but his words always meant much. He was a man of exceptional kindness and had a spirit of gentleness. His favorite hobby was tending to his beautiful garden and watching it grow. His wisdom came from a lifetime of hardwork and dedication to his faith, his family and his friends. Everyone who knew him, loved him. His family most of all. He is survived by his wife, Chris; daughters, Demetra Pinos and Panagiota "Patty" Pinos; brothers Peter Pinos and George Pinos both of Chicago and many extended family members. Trisagion prayers will be offered at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Ninde Brookside Chapel. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with interment in Rose Hill. Memorials: Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Building Fund, 1222 S. Guthrie, Tulsa, OK 74119.
