Obituary of C. Putnam

C. Howard Putnam, 65, died Wednesday. Howard was born October 18, 1942 in Lincoln, Nebraska to his parents Clarence Charles and Mildred Dale (Hess) Putnam. Upon graduation of High School and completion of a tour in the United States Army he launched his career in the printing and publishing industry most of his adult life, owning several businesses. Proving his versatility and late in life, Howard worked as a Bank Teller for Oklahoma State Employees Credit Union for the past ten years. Apart from business his life was defined by his love for his family and their love for him. He always had time to listen to their stories or to give a grampa cuddle. Howard is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife of 28 years, Barbara Ann Putnam, of the home; his daughter, Carissa and her husband Michael Wilson of Wichita, Kansas; his sisters, Donna Sullivan of Broken Arrow, OK and Linda Putnam of Claremore, OK; his brother Adin Putnam of Louisiana; his step-children, Michael, Katheryn, Anne and Mark Olmstead; his grandchildren, Emery, Megan, Kristofer, Elayne, Stephanie, Geoffrey, Patrick, and Aileen; and 5 great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St John Episcopal Church, 4200 S. Atlanta Place, with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.
