I was recently thinking of my stepdad and all the fun and laughter he shared with me. He left a small hole in my heart and I never got to say goodbye.

For Stephen Patchen, on this one year anniversary of your passing from this life to a better one.In this pass year I have run into others whose lives you touched,people you helped..the woman who took in stray animals,that was pretty amazing she said how many of those you helped to find homes for.The disabled veterans and other disabled you used your exceptional writing,typing skills to assist them..even adding poetry you would come up with to make it all more effective.The people you helped when they were trying to get away from gangs and other harmful elements.Giving substantial money for your level of income, to those you were attempting to assist in various ways.The amazing amount of time and effort you put in to teaching others to play the guitar and sing and perform on stage..so they would have more meaning and income in their lives.There are hundreds more I will never talk to or know about that you assisted.And yes...only you know how much you suffered internally..with your own deep issues.I lit a 'Life Tribute Candle'..for all this and more..such a very small thing..for such an extraordinary life.

Stephen,your beautiful guitar playing for your family,friends,patients will never be forgotten.Your genius talent at telling jokes ... many you created from life as you went through it day to day. Your stories of your many travels in the U.S.A. and abroad are fondly remembered.You were an extremely hard working caregiver to your patients.You are in many peoples memories.May God bless you.
