Obituary of Floyd Goode

On the 7th day of February, 1953, a baby boy was born to Elma Lee (Goode)Brown. Floyd was raised by his grandparents, Eric and Zana Goode of Depew, Oklahoma. He attended grade school in Milfay, Oklahoma and graduated from the Depew High School. During his junior year in high school, he met a young lady named Rutha Elliott (Angel) who eventually became the light of his life. On April 7, 1976, they became husband and wife. There were two sons born to this union, Floyd and Larry Goode. Floyd served in the US Army from 1974 - 1977 in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Floyd loved welding so much that he enrolled in technical school and made a career of it. He worked at Braden Steel until he retired due to his illness. Floyd is survived by his loving wife, Ruth; his son Floyd Goode and his wife Shanita, Larry C. Goode and Tenethia Martin all of Tulsa; five grandchildren: Dashon Martin, Larry ("LC") Goode, Jr., Tamauri, Makayla and Evan Floyd (Trey) Goode all of Tulsa; his siblings: Jeanne Walker, Jeanetta, Timmy, Robert, Jennifer, Elzora (Tiny), Joyce, Cynthia, Michelle and Joseph (Jaybird) Brown of Tulsa, OK; three aunts: Amie Harris of Tulsa, OK, Mamie West and Beathel Garett of Michigan, two uncles Bethel and Foster Goode of Oklahoma City, OK. Mother-in-law Dorothy Elliott of Tulsa, OK; two brothers-in-law Floyd Elliott and his wife Sue of California, James Loggins and his wife Shirley of Loggins of Ohio, one sister-in-law Annie Bell Elliott of Tulsa, OK and a host of family and friends. Floyd was preceded in death by his mother and step-father Elma Lee and Bobby Brown; his grandmother, Zana Goode, Leonard (Doc) Goode, Clarence (Sonny) Goode, Sr., Reggie Brown and Ronald (Bucky) Normore. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2008 in the Ninde Brookside Chapel, 3841 S. Peoria. Interment will follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery.
