Obituary of Chester Park

Chester Talcott Park was born June 10, 1921 in Elizabeth, NJ to Chester Bradford and Cornelia (Merrell) Park. He passed from this life Monday, May 5, 2008 at the age of 86. The family moved to Tulsa from New York on January 1, 1925. Mr. Park attended schools in Tulsa, Oklahoma City and Afton, OK. He graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1938. Mr. Park retired in 1983 as a manager for Public Service Company of Oklahoma after 43 years. He was a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendents; Data Processing Management Association; American Management Society; and, Hillcrest Medical Center Auxiliary and was active in the PSO Circuit Riders Retirement Association. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Martha Lou Austin Park in 2001 and his brother, Merrell B. Park in March of this year. He is survived by 2 sons and daughter-in-law, James T. Park and John A. and Nancy Park; grandsons, Michael Bradford Park and Chandra Zerbe, James Brian Park, Ryan Austin and Amanda Park, Bradford Wells Park and Eric John Park; great grandsons, Cory Michael Park and Elijah Stanley Park; and, sister-in-law, Mary Ann Stockton Park. The family will receive friends at Ninde Brookside Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
