Obituary of Phyllis Ford

Ford, Phyllis Constance Argentieri, passed away November 17, 2005. She was born on December 13, 1939 in New York City to Leonard and Louise Argentieri. She was raised and educated in New York, NY, receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hunter College in 1961. Phyllis and Timothy Martin Ford of New York were united in marriage on October 19, 1963. They relocated with American Airlines to Tulsa in 1974. After raising their five children, Phyllis was granted the prestigious Rumley Scholarship and received her Master of Arts degree from the University of Tulsa in 1980. She shared her love of learning and gift of knowledge first with her own children and then to the children of Tulsa through her work in both private practice and the Tulsa Public Schools. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Nicholas Argentieri. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Timothy Ford and is the cherished mother of Linda Marie Ford England, of Dallas, TX, William Joseph Ford, of New York, NY, Marian Jean Ford Porter, of Allen, TX, Sharon Ann Ford Sinnes, of Tulsa, OK and Thomas Martin Ford, of Bella Vista, AR; sons-in-law, Robert Andrew England, Matthew Porter and Ronald Sinnes; daughters-in-law, Jennifer Ford and Deborah Ford; sister, Marianne Argentieri Palladino, of Hummelstown, PA; as well as numerous friends. She was beloved Mimi to grandchildren, Timothy, Matthew and Christopher England, Connor Ford, Melissa Porter, Andrew and Ava Sinnes, Collin and William Ford. Memorial Mass 10:00 A.M. Monday Holy Family Cathedral, Eighth and Boulder in Tulsa. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation in Phyllis' name may be made to Holy Family Cathedral, P.O. Box 3204, Tulsa, OK 74101-3204. Phyllis was loved and will be remembered for her quick wit, sense of humor and strong faith, but most of all for her fierce love for and protection of her family.
