Champion, Jack L., 82, died on Thursday, November 24, 2005. Born August 8, 1923 in Tulsa, Oklahoma the son of Cecil and Grace (Potter) Champion. He served in the US Army during W.W.II. where he was a survivor of the Battle of the Bulge. He retired as a salesman for Tayloe Paper Company in 1985. He married Lillian Ruth Cox on December 24, 1942 in Muskogee, OK. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lillian; his daughters: Debbie Philbeck and her husband Cary of Tulsa, Sharon Elliott of Dallas, TX, Jackie Preston and Teresa Champion both of Houston; and his Grandchildren: James, Jack and John Elliott, Tessa Preston, Sam and Hannah Philbeck. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Christine Elliott and his sons-in-law, James Elliott and Kevin Preston. The family will receive friends from 6-8 on Monday at the funeral home. Services will be Tuesday, Nov. 29th at 2:00 p.m. in the Ninde Woodland Chapel, 5757 S. Memorial. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Sand Springs. Memorials: Vista Care Hospice.
