11/26/2005Sylvan, Ernestine Elizabeth (Saunders), 73, died suddenly on Saturday, November 26, 2005. Mrs. Sylvan was born March 22, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Ernest and Vashie (Smith) Saunders. Ernestine married Harold Lloyd Sylvan who preceded her in death on February 6, 1999. Mrs. Sylvan worked for Oklahoma Natural Gas for 27 years who she retired as a Benefits Specialist. She was a very devoted and active member of St. Monica's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Barbara Jean Robinson and a great granddaughter, Shia, Desiree Nichols. She is survived by her daughters: Lisa Michele Turrentine and her husband John Henry Turrentine, Terri Lynn Ousley and her husband DeMonte Lamonz Ousley all of Tulsa; her sisters: Arlene Buford and her husband Charles of Richmond, MO; her brother: Leon Allen, Jr. and his wife Diana of Richmond, MO; her Grandchildren: Jonathan Turrnetine, Robert Turrentine, Michael Turrentine, Maury Nichols, II and Nicole Nichols; her sisters-in-law: Stella Guy, Evelyn Brinkley and Brooksie Sylvan; her uncle: Weider Lewis; her nephews and nieces, Terry Keith Robinson, Jeffrey Robinson, Stanley Hayes, Stephanie Cooksey, Lori Brookens and Harriet Jones. Recitation of the Rosary will be 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2005 at St. Monica's Catholic Church, 633 E. Marshall Place. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at St. Monica's Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
