William Carl Johnson, 89, died on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at the University Village Health Care Center in Tulsa. He was born January 9, 1919 in Sedan, Kansas the son of William Calvin and Alma Mae (Warmbrodt) Johnson. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked for many years retiring from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. He was preceded in death by his wife Emma Marguerite "Marie" Cagel Johnson on June 23, 2007, his daughter, Carolyn Ann Phillips on February 10, 2005, and his grandson William Carl Johnson, III on July 5, 1982. He is survived by his son, William Carl Johnson, Jr. and his wife Vickie Lynn of Tulsa; son-in-law Jim Phillips of Oklahoma City; sister: Norma Jean Manley of Corpus Christi, Texas; Three Grandchildren, ten great Grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. friday, July 25, 2008 at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ninde Woodland Funeral Home until 9:30 a.m. Friday.
