Ilana, I am so sorry. I heard so much about you, Eli, and Maya from Carlos - his love and pride for his wife and children. He was a wonderful friend to me and so many others at the office. We will all miss him terribly.

Ilana, I wanted to let you know how sorry I am for the loss of Carlos. I only knew him for a short time but in that short time I made a true friend. I did get to see what kind of man he was. He carried himself with great dignity and I am very honored to have known him. We never crossed paths without speaking during the day and it was usually with a "Steve, how you doing brother?" Carlos made me realize even more that we ARE all brother and sisters. On Sunday night out at Jay's house , Carlos, myself, my wife and my son had a chance to sit on the deck around the table and talk with Carlos. And in that short period of time my son Christopher met a man he respected, saw a man who was hurting for his friend but was still strong, saw a man who loved his family with all his heart, made a friend, and felt better about the world around him. Carlos was truly taken before he was finished here. Love Steven, Christopher and Cindy Pendley
