Groh, Harold A., passed away September 24, 2008 in Tulsa, OK. He was born in Atchison, KS on August 28, 1917 to William Edward and Elsie (Dickerson) Groh. They moved to Nebraska where Harold graduated from the Omaha Public Schools. He attended the University of Omaha where he studied Business Administration and was employed at the Federal Land Bank in Omaha. The family later moved to Tulsa where he was employed in the Accounting Departments at Helm Drilling Company and Stanolind Oil and Gas Company. He retired in 1979 as a Senior Auditor for the United States Dept. of Agriculture. He was baptized in the First Christian Church and was a member of the Petroleum Club of Tulsa. Harold enjoyed volunteering for the Philbrook Museum, the Better Business Bureau and the Tulsa Library. He was an avid reader and also enjoyed landscaping, gardening and never missed watching the OU and Dallas Cowboys football games. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward and Robert; sisters, Evelyn Groh and Clara Belle Bettger; his first wife, Theresa (Hefti) Groh and daughter, Rebecca Groh. He married Lois McTaggart on May 3, 2003. He is survived by his loving wife, Lois, of the family home in Tulsa; a daughter, Sandi and her husband, Marice Hodges, of Jenks, OK and step-daughters, Noreen McTaggart, of Tulsa and Valerie and her husband, Kent Mitchell, of Denver, CO. A celebration of his life will be held in Nash Chapel at University Village Retirement Community 1:00 P.M. Monday, September 29, 2008. A private interment in Memorial Park Cemetery will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Animal Aid of Tulsa, 3307 E. 15th St., Tulsa, OK 74112.
