Barnes, Ross Meril, Jr., 85, died on Thursday morning, January 19, 2006 at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born October 16, 1920 in Helena, Arkansas the son of Ross Meril and Margaret (Haskins) Barnes, Sr.. He served his country during World War II in the United States Navy and was a 50 year member of the American Legion Post 308. He married Alyne Southerland on October 16, 1942 and she preceded him in death on October 9, 1997. Also his twin sister, Margie Hejkal. He is survived by his sons: Ronald M. Barnes and Larry J. Barnes both of Tulsa. Services will be 12 Noon, Monday in the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
