June Bennett Daly, 85, of Tulsa, passed away December 19, 2008. June was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1923 and was preceded in death by Hugh J. Daly who died in 1990. She made her home in Tulsa for over 50 years and is the loving mother of two daughters, Sandy Barnett, Tulsa; Cindy Cooney, St. Louis, Missouri and one son, Hugh Daly Jr., Naperville, Illinois. She leaves behind 6 grandchildren including, Candler Barnett, Oklahoma City; John Daly Cooney, Peter Cooney and Tim Cooney, St. Louis, Missouri; Megan Daly and Maddie Daly, Naperville, Illinois, and 2 great-grandchildren, Bennett Barnett and Daly Barnett, Oklahoma City. These grandchildren and great-grandchildren will always remember her as "Zsa-Zsa". June was actively involved in many local clubs and associations over the years in Tulsa, including St. Benedict's Guild/Friends of the Library, Cedar Ridge Country Club, Philbrook Pacers, Tulsa Philharmonic, Opera Guild, Children's Day Nursery, Tulsa Cerebral Palsy Association, Downtown Lion Tamers and the Tulsa Mrs. Club. She loved having her family together for special occasions and holidays and traveling with her husband. She also enjoyed gardening, especially her wonderful rose garden, and entertaining guests at her home over her many years in Tulsa. She has been residing at Montereau for the past five years. Her family wishes to thank the staff at Montereau for their loving care. "Zsa-Zsa" will be greatly missed by all of us. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Oklahoma and Arkansas Chapter. Funeral mass 11:30 A.M. Tuesday Church of the Madalene with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum.
