Obituary of Bessie Martin

Bessie Leona Martin was born September 1, 1920 in Franklin, PA to William A. & Josephine (Kunkel) Blair and passed from this life October 28, 2011 at the age of 91.
Bessie was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was a Bible study teacher, enjoyed gardening and as a result grew many beautiful roses. She was also active in the Republican Women.
Preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 40 years, Frederick James Martin; her sisters, Edna Way and Martha Cranford; and her brothers, Theodore Blair and Sheldon Blair; Bessie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lee & Jafar Farman; her son and daughter-in-law, Bill & Nancy Martin; two grandchildren Alan Farman and Jim Farman; and five great grandchildren.
Bessie will lie in state 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
