Obituary of Dorothy Kastner

Dorothy Jean (Davis) Kastner, 80, died on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mrs. Kastner was born July 6, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of Harry R. and Erma (Muir) Davis. She married Oscar John Kastner, Jr. on March 10, 1951. She graduated from the Oklahoma College for Women with a Bachelors Degree in Education. She taught business education classes at Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa where she retired. She and her family were longtime members of Tulsa's First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Beacon Sunday School Class. She is survived by her husband, Oscar of the home; her sons: Michael Edwin Kastner of Broomfield, Colorado, Paul Allen Kastner of Zionsville, Indiana, Kenneth Erwin Kastner and Keith Edward Kastner both of Tulsa; Her grandchildren: Christopher, Johnathan, Michael Lee, Nicholas, Sandra and Karly Kastner; her sister: Mrs. Helen Mills of Tulsa. A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 9th in the Sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church located at 1115 S. Boulder.
