Orville Earnest Flatt, 88, died on Monday, March 6, 2006 at The Lakes Nursing Center in Oklahoma City after a long illness. Orville was born October 14, 1917 in Oil Center, Oklahoma the son of William Truman and Pearl (Pannell) Flatt. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired as an electronic Technician for McDonnell-Douglas Air Craft. After his retirement he went to work for Bradley Chevrolet. He was preceded in death by his wife Lona Opal Flatt on January 24, 1993. They were long time members of Immanuel Baptist Church. He is survived his sons: Michael E. Flatt and his wife Susie of Edmond, OK and Larry Wayne Flatt of Joplin, MO; his three grandaughters: Kristi Neugin, Cindy Shaw and Shelly Kannada; his three sisters-in-law: Mrs. Ada Flatt, Mrs. Carmen Henderson and Mrs. Wanda Bartlett. Graveside services will be Thursday, March 9, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Floral Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Don Queen officiating. Memorials may be made to the Akdar Shrine Transportation Fund. Friends may call at the Ninde Garden Funeral Home until 12 Noon Thursday.
