Obituary of Nancy Baker

Nancy Lee (Brint) Baker was born February 3, 1927 in Amarillo, Texas the daughter of Albert Lee and Nancy Lee (Castleman) Brint. She completed this life on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the age of 85. Mrs. Baker received her Bachelor Degree from the University of Arkansas and her Master Degree from the University of Tulsa. She married Robert Eugene Baker on June 5, 1946 in Amarillo, Texas then moved to Tulsa where they raised their family. Mrs. Baker retired as a teacher from the Tulsa Public Schools. She taught history and social sciences at East Central High School also Lewis and Clark Jr. High. She was member of the Tuesday Morning Book Club also a life master bridge player, a pianist and a lover of music. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Caporaso and her husband Dr. Neil of Silver Springs, MD and Mary Lillian Baker Brint and her partner Carol Ross of Tulsa; her son, Robert Brint Baker and his wife Patty Broker Baker of Tulsa; Her Grandchildren, Evan Neil Caporaso and Andrew Robert Caporaso. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband in 1982. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home. A memorial service will be on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., in the Kerr Chapel of the First Presbyterian Church. The family requests that memorials be made to the, Music Program, First Presbyterian Church, 709 S. Boston, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74119.
