Dr. William Charles Krueger, Jr., 73, died on Saturday, April 24, 2010. Born September 16, 1936 in St. Louis, MO the son of William Charles and Alma Marie Meyer Krueger. Married Carol Ann Koock August 1, 1959 in Chicago, IL. Graduated with a degree in Geology from DePauw University 1958. Received his Master's from Rochester, 1960 and PhD Geology from Rice University, 1963. Retired from B.P. Amoco in 1990 after 27 years, having worked in New Orleans, Petroleum Geologist; Tulsa Research Center; Director of Geological Training, Tulsa Training Center; and the International Company of Amoco, Houston. Continued international work in London 1991-1992. Active in Camp Fire and served as Tulsa Board President and Member of the Camp Fire National Board. Founded the Krueger Charitable Foundation in 1994. Survivors: Wife of 50 years, Carol; daughters: Jennifer Krueger and her husband Mitchell Stein of New York City and Amy Krueger of Tewksbury, MA; grandchildren: Alexandra Henning, Zoe Stein, and Eliot Stein. The family will receive friends from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29th at the Krueger's residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tulsa City/County Library (400 Civic Center, Tulsa, OK, 74103)or the Creede Repertory Theater Company (P.O. Box 269, Creede, CO 81130.)
