I worked with Dr. Haswell at the University of Nebraska Medical Center when he was in Omaha. My office was next to his and I was the Department Administrator. Dr. Haswell was a great individual and so nice to work with. My condolences to his family. Phil Beckenhauer

Dr. Haswell was an amazing physician. At age 27 I was told I would never have children. Many years and tests and eventually getting to Dr. Haswell where I'll never forget, him sitting across the desk going through my enormous file and after an hour or so of discussion "We can do this"... a couple years later with Dr. Haswell support I delivered an amazing girl Victoria. Small but mighty at 3 1/2 pounds he gave us the knowledge and support to allow our dreams come true. Thank you for sharing this amazing man with all of us mothers, who without him would never know the joy motherhood brings. Our prayers are with you all...

I am just one of the many patients whose life was blessed by Dr. Haswell. My "babies" - a boy and a girl - just graduated from Edmond Memorial High School and turned 18 on June 25. They are fantastic people and great students who are heading off to college in a few weeks. Dr. Haswell helped me to make it to seven months (a miracle in itself) before the kids decided they weren't waiting anymore. I just want to express my condolences to your family and to thank you for sharing your dad and husband with our family. We will keep you in our prayers. Ruth,David, Devlin and Marguerita Leavitt

Dr.Haswell was a gifted, wonderful man who I had the privilege of sharing the birth of my children. He made me feel like my special condition was the only thing that he ever worked with, he was that knowledgeable!!! He made me feel confident to get through a rough pregnancy and told me when to relax and when to stay strong.. he was the best. I would not have gotten pregnant the 2nd time if he could not have been my Dr again!!! Thank you to the Haswell family for sharing such an amazing talent and the best man, I am sure that you have had to endure many crazy hours and I am so thankful as many others that you did.... I am thinking of you in this time of sorrow and feel so sad to know that Dr. Haswell is not here to help more Mom's.

In my 49 years, many people have touched my life but none quite like Glenn Haswell. Many times I thought to write him a letter or reach out to tell him what an impact he had on my life, although I think he always knew. At only age 20 in 1981, Glenn gave me a chance in the Medical field and I was his first front office employee at Maternal Fetal Medicine. He mentored me, sent me to various training courses and eventually trained me to assist in the back office. Through the next 10 years I saw him work miracle after miracle, handling every patient with love and compasion, being personally vested in the success of their high risk pregnancy. I saw many Medical Students & Residents go through rotations in the office and not only learn skills, but learn from an expert what true sincere bedside manner really was. I was also fortunate enough to become one of his patients, turning into a high risk pregnancy myself, and experiencing first hand his dedication and love for his profession. He was called in night after night to the hospital, encouraging procedures on me that had never been done in the 1980's at St. John Medical Center and many times spent countless hours nurturing my insecurity rather than my health, at the expense of his own personal time. This was how he treated all his patients. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to work for such a wonderful man and to witness all the miracles God performed through his hands. I can honestly say he was the #1 contributor to the foundation for my life and career. He saved my baby's life and now my baby is having a baby of her own. I am selfishly saddened, (as I am sure many of his former patients would say), that he won't be here to welcome my granddaughter into the world and that my daughter and new granddaughter won't experience his classic chuckle that was heard for many years down the halls of St. John Medical Center. He may have passed from this world but the impact he made will live for many years to come. My thoughts and prayers are with all his family and friends.

I had the honor of working with Dr. Haswell as an RN both in Labor and Delivery and in his private practice for close to ten years. I often said I thought of him as being "right up there with God" in terms of his wisdom, kindness, and goodness. He was always good to me...whether in taking time to teach me something new or just to listen. He saw me go through my third pregnancy...was first to show me I was having a girl and that she was healthy. I watched him pull off many miracles for moms and dads with complicated pregnancies. He treated everyone the same - wonderfully! Glenn Haswell made a difference in this world! I am so honored to have known him and so privileged to have worked with him. My deepest sympathy to the family at this sad time. What a blessing to know that we will all be with him again in heaven. He will surely be missed.

Twenty years ago, I was pregnant with my son. I was 39 years old with gestational diabetes. I was referred to Dr. Haswell. After meeting him, I loved him, and I was no longer worried or afraid. Because of his knowledge, experience, and great compassion, my son was born healthy May 8, 1990. He is now a junior at the University of Tulsa with a 4.0 grade point average. He is at this moment in Graz, Austria doing research. He is going to be a surgeon. He will help many people in his lifetime, just as the man who brought him into this world did. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Haswell, and it comforts me to know, as I know it does his family, that he has gone on to be with the Great Physician. My heart and my prayers go out to all of his family, and may it comfort you to know that the good that he did will continue for many years to come. God bless you all. Sherry Cantu
