Obituary of Lloyd Moyer

Lloyd Don Moyer was born August 31, 1941 in Bokoshe, Oklahoma the son of Vermon Henry and Edna Lula (Partain) Moyer. He completed this life on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at the age of 69. He died while vacuuming his boat getting it ready for the Summer season. He moved to Tulsa at a young age where he was raised. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1959 serving for 20 years. He retired from the Navy in 1979 as a Chief Petty Officer. Don was a Master Chef having worked in several restaurants. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Donna Louise High. He is survived by his wife, Betty Geenatt (Spencer) Moyer; his daughters, Melissa Kathleen and Mia Suzanne both of California, Sabrina Geenatt of Bartlesville; his brothers, John P. "J.P." Moyer of Tulsa and Dawell "Dean" Moyer of Tulsa; his grandchildren, Misty Waller, Hailey Hodges, Mikayla Conneen, Kelsey Hodges and Taylor Hodges; his Great Grandchild, Caydence Waller. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12th in the Ninde Brookside Funeral Home, 3841 S. Peoria. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 13th in the Ninde Brookside Chapel. Interment with military honors will be at 1:00 p.m. in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made to the V.F.W. or any Cancer Research organizations.
