My wife has shown Quarter Horses all her life. I met Doctor Andy a number of years ago in Amarillo at the Select World Show where he was the Veternarian checking the winners for drugs. From the first time we met, I liked him but he looked cross-eyed at me hearing my Boston accent. His Jack Russell took to me and that was enough for him. It didn’t take long though to find a lot of common ground and we talked about family and dogs. Every year thereafter I looked forward to seeing him in Amarillo. I think it has been about 4 years since he was there with his Lucy by his side. We have two of his hand made tall wooden chairs. In the past few years, I would ask the AQHA guys “how is doctor Andy doing?” I’m so sorry to learn of his passing. We will keep him in our prayers.
My wife and I admire Doctor Andy as a vet but more as a genuine and wonderful guy. Our most sincere condolences to his family.

Andy and I were fraternity brothers at Westminster College. He was a great friend in college and my condolences to George and all Andy's loved ones.

I attended Westminster College with Andy. Andy (and later George) were fraternity brothers. Andy was my roommate his senior year (my junior year).
He helped me grow up and learn about the value of college friendships. He was quirky and blessed with a wry sense of humor that took no prisoners, but he always had an underlying kindness. Andy was the conscience of our Beta house. He embraced the ideals of tradition and mutual respect.
We hadn’t talked in a long while, but he was never out of my memory. Condolences to the family. God Bless! _kai_ Chip

I learned so much from Andy over the years. He was the first "Horseman" I was ever around. He was always willing to share his knowledge with anyone that was interested. I will miss him.

Gee, where do you start? Andy was one of a kind. First time I met him was as kids sitting on hay bales in his dad’s barn at 111th and 129th. I grew up at 111th and Mingo. Fast forward to them locating to 91st and Garnett after vet school. I watched the old house go down the road when it was moved. He appeared to be a man of few words, but one afternoon at an okc show, he talked my leg off. I always loved talking to Carol picking up coggins or whatever. Nothing replaces a loved one, but I bet there are a bunch of “you can’t believe” stories about Andy. Love you guys! Marquitta
