I am so sorry to hear of Fred's passing. Having only known Fred for a year, I did not know him well. However, I always enjoyed his company when we would attend our Lions meetings. It was a comment that Fred made once that helped me make up my mind about becoming a Lions. He spoke of a young girl he met at a school where he helped with a Christmas party for the disabled children. I believe she had autism and did not speak. However, on this day when he was ready to leave the party the young girl came to him and huged him and said Merry Christmas. Fred felt so good about that child. He had made a difference in a life of child! After hearing his story, I knew I wanted to become a Lion too! I wish I had had a chance to hear more of his stories. My prayers are with Fred's family and friends. Lion Margaret (Maggie) Conner
