Obituary of Alma Fleske

Alma Beth (Fox) Fleske was born March 5, 1921 to Henry & Mary (Eller) Fox in Springer, New Mexico. She passed from this life at the age of 90 on Saturday, February 18, 2012 in Tulsa, OK where she moved in 2007 with her husband, Edward August Fleske, to be closer to family. Alma Beth graduated from Larned High School. She married Edward on August 10, 1941 and worked with her husband on their farm north of Garfield for nearly 60 years. She was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church and was their organist for many years. Alma Beth and Edward enjoyed traveling and they took many trips that included Germany, Australia, New Zealand and most of the United States. Alma Beth was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 70 years, also her brothers Marvin and Robert Fox and sister, Sally Frey. She is survived by her four children, Mary Ann Meckfessel and her husband, Charles of Tulsa, OK, John Fleske and his wife, Janice of Pittsburg, KS, Louis Fleske and his wife, Jo Anne of Colorado Springs, CO, David Fleske and his wife, Gwen of Tulsa, OK; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Also surviving are brother and sister in law Leonard and Mary Fleske and sister in law Betty Fleske. Memorial service on Saturday, February 25 at 4:00 pm Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2550 E. 71st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Graveside services March 10 in Larned, Kansas.
